THE UToledo SYMPOSIUM: MEMORIES OF WORLD WAR I

Join a free, public symposium exploring the effects and cultural representations of WWI. Clustered around three over-arching concepts, "Impact, Identity, Innovation," the day is divided into two morning sessions and one afternoon session. The papers offer a wide variety of topics, ranging from local, national and international history to art, music, theater, gender, cross-dressing, and memory culture.
Conference participants include UToledo faculty Steven Bare, James Campbell, Friederike Emonds, Barbara Floyd, Matt Forte, Matt Foss, Thor Mednick, Kim Nielsen, Linda Rouillard, and Dale Snauwaert. Community members Michael McMaster, Richard Oliver and Paula Reich also will present.
