Course Reserves are materials that have been selected by your professors and made available to you through the University Libraries. Materials on reserve may include:
Some materials are available through our website in electronic format. Other materials such as books and DVDs can be checked out at the circulation desk for short loan periods.
Additional materials may be available for online and web-assisted courses and should be accessed from your Online course page
Using the search box below, you can search by either the course instructor's last name, or by the course number (for example, CHEM 1230 or Chemistry 1230.)
When you click on the instructor name or course number, you will see a list of available materials.
Electronic materials may include:
Items placed on electronic reserve can be viewed using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
For best results, use the printer icon in the Adobe Acrobat toolbar, NOT your browser's toolbar or using File > Print ... otherwise, you may only get a blank page!
Scanned images can be large files, so please be patient as your PDF downloads.
Some items are available in print format only and must be obtained from the circulation or service desk at Carlson, Mulford, or McMaster Library. These may include:
Materials on reserve can only be checked out for a limited time period,
which is set by the course instructor. Typical time periods are one hour,
two hours, three hours, three days or a week.
Fines for overdue reserve materials are $1.00 per item per hour.
Some items are placed on permanent reserve to allow access for limited time periods to popular items.
