Introduction

Welcome GIS Students and Faculty:

Geospatial technologies have been particularly revolutionalized by advanced computing hardware/software, expanding networks, increasing bandwidth, and innotavie Web services.  Geographic Information Systems has become a field of study that is interdisciplinary in scope and practice with many  disciplines now requiring geospatial data, information, and knowledge.  This subject guide present GIS resources, including publicly accessible geospatial data and knowledge published by leaders in the field.  At the University of Toledo Libraries, we recognize the need to provide access to a broad range of data and information resources, which support research, teachiung, and practice in this rapidly evolving field of study.
