The fundamental concept here is authors' ability to post a pre- or post-print versions of their peer-reviewed and/or published works. This form of publishing is known as Green Open Access publishing whereby authors can upload their research onto a digital repository provided free of charge to its faculty by the university. This approach will enable the author to share research before formal publication. Author archiving will also enable published research that has been published elsewhere, especially in cases where the journal or website has ceased to exist.
Authors should consult the Sherpa Romeo database to determine whether the article they published can be published in an Open-access format.
