Government Information: WELCOME!

Finding and using US & State government information

Did you know these are federal government documents?

Illustrator Bob Hines (1912-1994) was one of America’s great wildlife artists.  Originally from Ohio, Bob Hines had a long career in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.  His work helped to inspire the widespread interest we see today in wildlife conservation and environmental protection.

Produced in 1974 by the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Fish and Wildlife Service, these reproductions of Bob Hines’ paintings were sent to Federal Depository Libraries across the country.  Today only The University of Toledo and Ohio University list these prints in their library catalogs.

Depicted here are fish species that just happen to be native to Ohio:  Brown Trout, Brook Trout, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Channel Catfish, Black Crappie & White Crappie
