Events

Carlson Library Poetry Slam, CL 1005

Tuesday, April 10, 6:00pm – 8:00pm

  • Celebrate National Library Week and National Poetry Month with a Poetry Slam & Open Mic. Carlson Library and Toledo Poets invite all members of the Toledo Community both on campus and off are welcome. We are so excited to have the opportunity to again host another Carlson Library Poetry Slam on Tuesday, April 10th at 6pm.

ToledoPoet.com and The Toledo Poetry Museum Facebook page both began as an effort to promote local poetry events such as open mics, themed readings, book release parties, visiting poets touring from other cities, local contests and submission calls from local publications. The founders—all local poets themselves—hoped to create a hub for poets to find events in the area that they might want to attend. The website offers a monthly calendar, as well as an option to receive a free weekly email reminding subscribers of upcoming poetry events. The calendar is also intended to help event organizers avoid overlapping existing events while planning new ones. Feel free to share poetry related events and announcements to the Toledo Poetry Museum page on Facebook. And if you know of an event that’s not on the ToledoPoet.com calendar—please message the website or Facebook page to spread the word!
