Annual Survey of Manufactures (ASM)
The Annual Survey of Manufactures (ASM) was discontinued after the 2021 survey year and data collection ended in late 2022. The data formerly collected for the ASM will now be collected as part of the Annual Integrated Economic Survey (AIES) for survey year 2023, which will begin data collection in early 2024. County Business Patterns (CBP) is an annual series that provides subnational economic data by industry. This series includes the number of establishments, employment during the week of March 12, first quarter payroll, and annual payroll.
County Business Patterns (1993-Present) -- from the Census Bureau, provides annual data on the number of businesses, employees, etc., by industry as classified by NAICS (1998-present) or SIC (pre-1998) code. Data available to the county level.
The Economic Census for 2022, 2017, 2012, 2007, and 2002 are available on the U.S. Census Bureau website. The release schedule for the entire 2022 Census shows the quarter in which the statistics will be available.
