LaTeX & REVTeX

LaTeX (pronounced LAH-tech or LAY-tech) is a freely accessible document preparation system that is widely used in scientific and technical publishing. It is based on the TeX typesetting markup language.  Click here for some online LaTeX tutorials.  See below for some available e-books on LaTeX.

The American Physical Society has developed and maintains a collection of LaTeX macros called REVTex to assist authors preparing manuscripts intended for submission in its Physical Review journals.  REVTex is also used by authors submitting papers to journals published by the American Institute of Physics and the Optical Society.
