UToledo News Announcement

Evaluation Results (11-29-12)

Our mini-conference had roughly 20 attendees.  Of the 19 who completed our evaluation afterward, 84 percent identified themselves as faculty, with 13 percent identifying themselves as staff or "other."  Not surprisingly, we had twice as big a turnout from UToledo as from Bowling Green but we did have representation from another Ohio institution and from Michigan as well.

Overall, 94% of the evaluation respondents rated the program good (39%) to excellent (57%) with an overall rating average of 4.59.  Similarly, the program met the expectations of the vast majority of participants with over 66% rating it "excellent" in this regard.

Just a few of the open-ended comments for each session follow below. (please open the attached evaluation file to see the complete results)

"It was interesting to hear from a UToledo faculty member who has taken steps to make his research openly available and how simple the process is."

"Excellent information about the experience at Oberlin"

"Opportunity to hear of teaching and research faculty experiences with aspects of OA"

"I got a clearer vision of the relationship between open access databases and library work, and started to see possible connections."
