Gale Cengage has announced rebranding for their online business resource Business Insights: Global. Beginning late October 2022 patrons of the University of Toledo Libraries became able to preview the new user interface for this library subscription product, which is to be renamed "Gale Business: Insights" during this transition. For those UToledo patrons wishing to try out features of the new interface, they may do so at https://link.gale.com/apps/GBIB?u=ohlnk130. Gale Cengage has not yet released information regarding how long both interfaces will be made available to patrons at subscribing institutions.
The American Mathematical Society (AMS) reports that a new user-friendly interface for MathSciNet is now available for beta testing at subscribing institutions. UToledo faculty, students, and staff wishing to try out the new interface design and features may do so by visiting https://go.openathens.net/redirector/utoledo.edu?url=https%3A%2F%2Fbeta.mathscinet.ams.org%2Fmathscinet%2Fbeta%2Fpublications-search%3F_zs%3DN3c4N1%26_zl%3D5JKv6. AMS intends for the new interface to "include a cleaner design, increased functionality for mobile devices, as well as improved usability and accessibility tools." Those users wishing to provide AMS with feedback on their new design may do so by submitting questions and suggestions via email to msn-beta@ams.org.
This standard online library resource for auto-repair received a user interface upgrade this fall that features "robust search capability, a streamlined user interface design, a new vehicle identification number (VIN) decoder, an updated video library and animations in a stand-alone tab, and improved accessibility features."
