On August 27th a refreshing new version of the OhioLINK Electronic Book Center (EBC) became available for use on and off-campus by UToledo students, faculty, and staff. Following a multi-year testing and migration process, the new EBC will offer an interface that improves the user experience and offers greater compatibility with mobile devices. The new OhioLINK EBC utilizes Biblioboard software to allow for a more user-friendly design. Those wishing to try the new Electronic Book Center may do so by logging in using their name and Rocket ID # at https://betaebooks.ohiolink.edu/. Patrons have the additional option of creating a free Biblioboard account to enable personalization features such as saving favorite titles, creating personal in-text notes, and setting bookmarks. For Fall Semester 2020, both the legacy user interface and the new EBC will be available for use. The legacy OhioLINK EBC is expected to be retired in December 2020.
