Changes to Log In for Online Library Resources Coming Soon

by Clare Keating on 2019-07-18T08:30:00-04:00 | 0 Comments

At the end of July 2019 and the beginning of August 2019, University of Toledo Libraries will be implementing new technology that works in the background to connect library users to the electronic resources that the UToledo Libraries subscribe to. These changes will provide more seamless access to online library resources, and will require users to log in to their UTAD account only once per web browser session. As library users attempt to connect to their favorite online library resources after August 1st, they may experience some of the situations described below:

Logging into UToledo Libraries Online Resources from On-Campus:

Authorized users attempting to connect to the University of Toledo Libraries electronic resources using on-campus computers and/or the campus wireless network may now be prompted to log in to their UTAD account prior to accessing certain electronic resource content. If a user is already logged in to a MyUT Portal account or a University of Toledo single sign-on service platform within the same web browsing session, the user will be passed through to the online library resources without another log in being required.

Logging into UToledo Libraries Online Resources from Off-Campus:

Prior to accessing content, authorized library users attempting to connect to University of Toledo Libraries electronic resources using off-campus computers and devices will now be redirected to the UTAD Login screen rather than the UTLibraries Login screen. If a user is already logged in to a MyUT Portal account or a University of Toledo single sign-on service platform within the same web browsing session, the user will be passed through to the online library resources without another log in being required.
