HON 4960 Lifehacking the Literature: What is Research?

Concepts

  • What constitutes a good research question?
  • Why do we do 'research'?
  • Research is an iterative process.
  • What is the difference between a research paper and an annotated bibliography?

Research Topic Revision

Using the feedback you received from your peers in class and your own further reflection about what makes a good research question, rewrite your research question.  Turn in:

  • Your original research question
  • Your revised research question
  • A short description of what you revised and why, any response to peer reviews, questions to follow up on, etc.

Reminder!

EndNote Software:  You're encouraged to bring your own laptop on Wednesday 1/29 so you can install/use EndNote on your own device.  You may install it yourself from the MyUTAccount page, or Prof. Lee-Smith will be available before class (12-12:55) in CL1025 to help you  install the software if desired.
