Guide to using Embase - an international biomedical and pharmaceutical database

Printing Embase Results

Select results and click on Print. 
OR

Click on Results (shown in purple box) for options  to print all or a pre-selected number of results.

Click on Print to select citation only, citation and abstract, short record, or full record. The Print button will be in upper right corner of the selected results page.


Exporting Embase Results to EndNote

Select desired results as above. Click on Export. Select Export format RIS format ( Reference Manger...EndNote). Click on Export. Citations will usually be automatically downloaded to EndNote. If not, check for a link in the bottom row of your desktop/screen.

Saving Embase Results with Clipboard

Clipboard creates sets of search results and saves only during your session. Clipboard is temporary.

  • Selecting desired search results. Click on Add to Clipboard.

 


 

  • View the items stored in the clipboard by going to My tools  at the top toolbar.


  • Use the options in the Clipboard Toolbar (Under My tools) to view the full record of the citation, Export to EndNote, Email, or save the record to Embase. 

 

 

Saving Embase Searches

You must be logged in to save a search. Click on Login in the upper right corner to login or first register.
To save a search,check the box beside the desired search(es) and click on Save. 
You will then be prompted to pick a location for your saved search. The default location is in your private folder.

 


To retrieve saved searches, login and go to My Tools
